Astro Days New York

September 27, 2022 | 1-6pm

About the Event

Join Astronomer, the driving force behind Airflow, for an exciting afternoon focused on Modern Data Orchestration. If you’re a data practitioner developing data pipelines, managing data systems at scale, or building next-gen data platforms and applications, this event is for you!

Learn how a Fortune 100 financial services organization uses Airflow to manage their data ecosystem at enormous scale. Hear from the Astronomer team that drove the development of Airflow 2.0, and get a first look into where they are taking Airflow over the next few years. Experience Astro, a re-engineered Airflow optimized for multi-cloud deployments, integrated with OpenLineage for observability, and designed for greater security and efficiency. And get hands-on access to Astronomer's game-changing developer tools, which help teams make sense of their data ecosystems, build faster, and reduce their operational management and risk.

And if that's not enough, come to reconnect with fellow data enthusiasts and Airflow experts over drinks and food.

Workshop Details

In this workshop, you will build a production-grade data pipeline while getting hands-on with Astro, the cloud-native orchestration platform powered by Apache Airflow. You’ll be one of the first to take Astro’s new notebook-style cloud IDE for a test drive, switching simply between SQL and Python as you assemble your pipeline with less boilerplate. We’ll pull back the curtain and dive into the Astro Python SDK, the newest open source framework from Astronomer for writing Airflow data pipelines. By the end of the workshop, you will have deployed your pipeline seamlessly to AWS, Google Cloud, or Microsoft Azure.
