As we look to the future of Dataops together, we could not be more excited to be hosting an Astro Day at the Northern Trust office, where Marc Lamberti and our team will be leading several sessions on how data teams can balance growing demand for insights and flexibility, prepare for the rise of AI-driven workflows, and navigate the constant pressure to simplify and consolidate their tooling.
As part of these sessions, we will be bringing real-world examples from our work with Northern Trust, as well as with 50% of the global top 20 financial institutions, sharing strategies for modernizing the orchestration layer to scale efficiently and deliver trusted data faster.

Session 1 (9:00 am - 9:50 am): Introduction to Astronomer & Airflow - learn why Airflow has exploded in recent years, becoming one of the most successful open-source projects of all-time and is now seen as the de-facto standard for data orchestration being leveraged by 80k+ organizations.
Session 2 (10:00 am - 11:00 am): Airflow 3.0 & 3.1 Deep-Dive with Marc Lamberti - In this session we will go through the largest release in Airflow history, sharing how organizations are leveraging the newest features to underpin and scale their AI/ML workloads without the constraints of traditional batch processing. Following this session, we will be providing free access to our Airflow 3.0/3.1 Certification.

Session 3 (1:00 pm - 2:00 pm): Astro IDE & Astro Observe Deep-Dive:
- Astro IDE — AI-powered, Airflow-native IDE that knows your version, repo, and DAG patterns. Generates and tests DAGs that run the first time—shipping ~10× faster and enabling data, DS, and ML teams to build together.
- Astro Observe — Single pane to govern and optimize pipelines across Airflow, Databricks, and Snowflake. End-to-end lineage, data-centric alerting, and proactive recommendations—cutting risk and helping teams consistently hit SLAs.
Session 3B (2:00-3:00pm): Hands-on Workshop to put the IDE + Observe to work!

Session 4 (3:45 pm - 4:45 pm): In this session, we’ll walk through a new operating model for orchestration and how organizations such as BNY, B.A.M, BlackRock, and JPMorgan are leveraging our utilities to streamline consolidation of legacy schedulers (weeks vs. months/years), migrate to the cloud, manage cost effectively (35%+ savings on-average), while creating the orchestration back-bone needed to safely operationalize AI.
