# astro telemetry

> Manage telemetry settings for the Astro CLI.

<Info>The behavior and format of this command are the same for both Astro and Astro Private Cloud.</Info>

Use `astro telemetry` commands to manage usage telemetry for the Astro CLI. Run `astro telemetry` without a subcommand to show the current telemetry status.

Telemetry is enabled by default and collects the commands you run, the CLI version, your operating system, and your invocation context (CI or interactive), including any command or flag you type that the CLI doesn't have. No arguments, flag values, or personally identifiable information are collected. While you're logged in, telemetry events are linked to your Astro Organization. Logged-out usage stays anonymous.

You can disable telemetry by setting the `ASTRO_TELEMETRY_DISABLED` environment variable to `1`.

## Usage

astro telemetry
