The role of the Renewal Manager is to manage end-to-end customer renewals across a portfolio of accounts, in addition to any mid-year expansion opportunities. In addition to securing renewals across the business, you will have significant influence in defining our strategy and operations for this role, helping build repeatable processes to be leveraged by future Renewal Manager teammates down the road.

What You'll Do

  • Lead the commercial buying process for all customer renewals with the intent of securing their full retention
  • Partner with Customer Success Managers to understand customer priorities and challenges
  • Represent Astronomer during a pivotal period in the customer lifecycle; understand and speak to Astronomer’s value proposition in an increasingly competitive and crowded market
  • Demonstrate your Astronomer product expertise and Data Orchestration knowledge to have meaningful, consultative conversations with customers throughout their renewal processLeverage data and insights alongside your understanding of the customer’s coming-year goals to prescribe commercial terms that align with the needs of the businessIdentify and secure upsell opportunities where applicable, whether at renewal or mid-cycle
  • Ensure on-time delivery of customer renewals without compromising the customer experience along the way
  • Maintain and report an accurate forecast for all renewals in your portfolio
  • Communicate to the business risks identified and develop resolution strategies, escalating wherever appropriate

What You'll Need

  • 3+ years in a client-facing, pre or post-sales role (preferably in a SaaS environment)
  • High level of comfort speaking with executives and procurement at Enterprise companies
  • Proven track record of exceeding goalsDesire to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with peers who challenge you to grow
  • Technical aptitude to understand Astronomer’s portfolioBias toward action
  • Prior closing experience and exposure to design experience is a plus!
  • Experience in relevant products in the market such as Cloudera, Databricks, AWS, Azure, Google, Tableau, SAS, ETL Technologies or other Analytics Solutions, Apache Airflow, python, sql, Docker, kubernetes
