As a Release Manager on the Astro Engineering team, you'll own releases end to end. You'll work with development teams from planning through deployment, ensuring dependency management, quality gates and reporting requirements are met. You'll transform the current process and tools to meet the demands of a growing team, faster cadence and increasing quality expectations.

What you should know

  • Program and Release Management: How to coordinate, sequence and communicate changes across teams and environments
  • Release concepts: Versioning, branching, gating, patching, continuous deployment
  • Deployment tools: Git, familiarity with CircleCI, Jenkins, Gitlabs, Kubernetes deployment strategies
  • Communication and organization: Interesting communicator that drives desired behaviors and change across org, metrics-driven and always thinks of how to scale self as org grows

  • Drive cross-team cloud / microservice platform releases
  • Evolved / built release process for enterprise software, balancing velocity and quality
  • Managed epics & dependencies across multiple teams, aligning with process and quality requirements
  • Incorporated / built tooling for reporting & metrics of changes
