We are looking for a seasoned payroll manager to join our Finance Organization with a focus on bringing best practices to our employee. In this role, you will own the day-to-day payroll operations to support the company’s scaling through hyper-growth.

Responsibilities

  • Process and manage semi-monthly payroll for both exempt and non-exempt US employees, including garnishments, overpayments, coordination of leave payments, and other special payments, to ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll in compliance with company policies, federal, state and local tax regulations.
  • Process monthly payroll for non-US employees to ensure compliance with local tax regulation in other countries.
  • Run corresponding payroll reports and provide employee customer services in the resolution of pay and benefits issues.
  • Maintain payroll records related to employee compensation, bonuses, commissions, benefits, etc.
  • Partner closely with HR to coordinate employee compensation updates, new hires, termination, 401K, FSA and data changes.
  • Own equity payroll processing and ensure equity compliance.
  • Review and analyze payroll data and perform journal entry reclass if necessary.
  • Prepare journal entries and account reconciliation related to payroll. 
  • Assists with incorporating new regulations into payroll policies and procedures.
  • Identify and implement process improvements on an ongoing basis.
  • Implement, maintain, and update Workday Payroll (troubleshooting, update releases, new earnings/deductions configurations, annual system update, etc.)
  • Manage financial and worker’s compensation audit 

Skills we're looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
  • 7+ years of relevant payroll experience at a tech company with increasing responsibility, preferably at a high-growth company.
  • Expert knowledge of multi-state payroll, payroll tax rules and regulations around payroll and equity administration.
  • Experience in international payroll a big plus.
